I wonder
what your answer would be if I asked you what would be the worst thing you
could possibly lose. Some might say your home, or a car, others, probably the
majority would say your loved ones. I wonder how many would even give a thought
to their praise to God. I would have to say, that when it all came down to it,
the worst thing a person could ever lose, would be their praise and worship to
God. Why you might ask? Because what do you do when those things that you
esteemed higher than your worship and your praise fade? When your most
cherished loved one dies, what do you have to lean on then? If your focus is
right, you will still have your source or comfort and joy. When you praise God,
and you give Him your praise, that's where you draw your strength to face those
situations when everything else is gone. That's where your peace and your
security that will never leave you comes from. But if you try to fill that spot
in your life with temporary things, you won't have anything to depend on when
they are gone. So, my objective is this:
"Yet the time is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will
worship the Father in spirit and truth. Indeed, the Father is looking
for people like that to worship him"
~John 4:23~
So, here it is...You cannot only worship God during the good times, if you worship Him, you must do it in spirit and in truth... In the valley and on the mountain top. He's worth worshiping in the good and bad times. Even if all He did was save you, That's more than enough to make Him worthy of your praise.
